The Suitability tool was implemented to identify the best location for future affordable housing in Kota Denpasar, Indonesia.

For this project, the most "suitable" area in the city was defined as the one that maximized proximity to economic activities, education, health facilities, transit and selected urban services.

In this case, the health facilities (health layer) were given twice the weight than other amenities and services, because is particularly important for the future dwellers to have health services nearby.

As Denpasar's flooding risk is high, the proposed locations for the affordable housing projects must also be safe from this risk.

The figure above shows in light green where the most "suitable" locations for housing projects are. These locations are closer to clinics and hospitals; which represents that only 4% of the study area would comply with with the defined requirements.
